Mudita was created for that very reason and is proof that travel has the potential and the power to bring a great positive change by giving back to the countries we visit.

The truth is, some communities around the globe could use a hand. So we take an approach that works to forge ‘Transformational Community Development’, where we help people, and the communities they live in with a hand getting ahead.

Don't get us mixed up with the wrong crowd though. We aren't a voluntourism company that breaks and rebuilds, worries about saviourism, or takes jobs from local talent or workers. We're the opposite. Our goal to promote local development.

The work our travellers do is important however we're not there to take away from the stakeholder. Our travellers will arrive for near completion to assist with key final touches on the project. Under the watchful eye of the staff involved, we will complete painting, landscaping, furnishings and adding a little touch of final TLC that otherwise wouldn’t be carried out. These last additions bring the project a wonderful last appearance and ensure nothing is overlooked.

It's important to us that what we're doing is truly needed. So we start on the ground, making sure all our projects are carried out via a local organization. Next, we make sure our partner has liaised with the community to identify a project well before our trip is planned, from there the relevant stakeholders discuss the options and then inform us of their decision. Once a project has been identified we hire local vendors, native to the country, but more specifically involved within the community directly to complete the job. This keeps the work, money, and pride local.
