Day 1

The Northern Landmarks

Aktau — Kapamsay — Shakpak-Ata — Torysh — Sherkala — Ayrakty. Explore the white chalk walls of Kapamsay Canyon and the mystical rock-carved mosque of Shakpak-Ata. Visit the unique spherical stone formations of Torysh and the iconic Sherkala mountain before watching the sunset over the “Valley of Castles” at Ayrakty.

Day 1

The Northern Landmarks

Aktau — Kapamsay — Shakpak-Ata — Torysh — Sherkala — Ayrakty. Explore the white chalk walls of Kapamsay Canyon and the mystical rock-carved mosque of Shakpak-Ata. Visit the unique spherical stone formations of Torysh and the iconic Sherkala mountain before watching the sunset over the “Valley of Castles” at Ayrakty.

Day 2

The Plateau Crossing

Ayrakty — Ustyurt Plateau — Bozzhyra. Journey across the vast Ustyurt desert plateau, the ancient bed of the Tethys Ocean. Reach the Bozzhyra canyon system in the afternoon to witness the dramatic chalk cliffs and limestone towers during the golden hour.

Day 2

The Salt Mirror

Ayrakty — Ustyurt Plateau — Tuzbair — Beket-Ata area. Visit the spectacular Tuzbair salt flat, known for its endless white horizons and surreal landscapes. Walk the base of the white chalk escarpments before viewing the sacred heights of Beket-Ata.

Day 3

The Painted Mountains

Bozzhyra — Bokty — Kyzylkup — Aktau. Explore the legendary viewpoints of Bozzhyra. Visit the pyramid-shaped Bokty mountain and the colorful Kyzylkup area—famously called “Tiramisu” due to its vibrant layered formations—before returning to Aktau.

Day 3

The Painted Mountains

Bozzhyra — Bokty — Kyzylkup. Spend a dedicated day immersed in the legendary Bozzhyra Valley. Visit the viewpoints of the chalk cliffs, the iconic Bokty mountain, and the colorful layered hills of Kyzylkup.

Day 4

The Karagiye Depression

Bozzhyra — Karagiye Depression — Aktau. Conclude the circuit with a visit to the Karagiye Depression, the deepest dry point in Kazakhstan (-132m), offering impressive panoramic views before your final return to the city.
