The frame
Some trips are a holiday. This one is a marker.
You told us you wanted a milestone moment — the kind of week the team still references when they’re trying to remember who they are together. That’s a different brief from a holiday.
So this trip is built backwards from the moment you’ll point at later. Not “we went to Thailand,” but “we built the room where the kids learn now,” or “we sat with the elders the night the project finished.” A real thing happened. The team made it happen. That’s the milestone.
The shape
Set the intention. Do the work. Reset.
Seven days, three movements. The arc is the point — without it, you’ve got a nice trip. With it, you’ve got a milestone.
01
Set the intention
Days 1–2. Land in Chiang Mai, share a meal, and sit with a senior monk who’ll bless the week. You name what this trip is for, out loud.
02
Do the work
Days 3–5. North to a hill-tribe village we’ve partnered with since 2017. Two full days alongside the community on a project they led the design of.
03
Reset
Days 6–7. Jungle, waterfalls, an evening around a fire to debrief together. A closing dinner in Chiang Mai with a printed photobook of the week.
The itinerary
Seven days, day by day.
Tap any day to expand. Every detail here is a starting point — we’ll shape it together on the call.
Day 01Land in Chiang Mai. Welcome dinner.+
Arrive at Chiang Mai International on your own schedule — we collect each of you and settle you into a quiet boutique stay in the old city. Evening: a private welcome dinner at a long-time street kitchen the team know by name. No agenda yet. Just the five of you, the food, and the streets.
Day 02Old city, and a blessing for the week.+
A slow walking morning through the temples that ring Chiang Mai’s old wall. Mid-morning: a private audience with a senior monk we’ve worked with for years. He’ll lead a short blessing for the trip — and ask each of you to name, out loud, what you’re hoping the week will be. It’s the anchor everything else hangs off. Afternoon free. Evening: a cooking class at a working farm outside the city.
Day 03North to Mae Sariang.+
A scenic five-hour drive into the hills — Mae Hong Son loop country. Lunch on the road. Arrive mid-afternoon at the village we’ve partnered with since 2017, where the community will welcome you with a small ceremony of their own. Evening meal at the village. You sleep close to the project site.
Day 04Community day one — alongside the village.+
The first full day on the project — a classroom expansion the village has been planning for two years. The community leads, you contribute. Hands-on, paced. Lunch with the local builders. Late afternoon: free time in the village; a few of the kids will probably teach you cards.
Day 05Community day two — handover.+
Final push on the build. Late afternoon: a community gathering to officially open the new space — children, elders, the headman, you. A photographer will be with you for the day so the moment exists outside memory. Evening: a quiet dinner just for the team to talk through what the day meant.
Day 06Reset day — jungle, water, fire.+
A guided jungle trek to a waterfall the locals swim in. Lunch riverside. Mid-afternoon: an ethical elephant sanctuary visit — the kind that doesn’t let people ride. Drive back toward Chiang Mai through the foothills as the light goes gold. Evening: a fireside debrief at a hillside lodge — open conversation about the week, what the team brings home from it, and what the milestone now is.
Day 07Closing dinner in Chiang Mai. Fly out.+
A leisurely morning back into Chiang Mai. Free afternoon — markets, massage, the famous Saturday walking street depending on dates. Closing dinner at a private courtyard restaurant in the old city. Each of you receives a printed photobook of the week before we transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
The community
One hundred percent. No overhead.
Every dollar of the community contribution built into your trip cost reaches the village. There is no Mudita admin fee on top, no marketing percentage, no skim. Zero.
We’ve been alongside this particular hill-tribe community since 2017 — five projects in, the relationship is the point. You’re not parachuting in. You’re stepping into something that was already happening, and leaving something that will keep happening after you fly out.
